Introduction

My name is Abdul Sami, and I am a Physics teacher. My inclination toward teaching emerged during my last academic year in the persuasion of a bachelor’s degree in science (Physics/Math). My admiration was backed by the thought to influence young minds toward the miracle of science in solving real-life problems through the tool of physics. This passion was strengthened when I entered the teaching arena around 11 years ago. My exposure to international academia was my primary source of inspiration to learn more every day and polish my skills to ensure better learning platforms for my students in the world of science.

To gain professional development, alongside my studies, I have participated in several teaching development training sessions and workshops, which enriched my understanding of the concepts of teaching methodologies as well as pedagogical models. This training enhances my confidence in delivering quality education within my capacity and professionally influencing young minds.

My reason for opting PGCTL course is to obtain a professional edge in teaching by learning and experiencing all the pedagogical theories and techniques. It will help me excel in my career and effectively perform my teaching job. It will be the gateway to pull in the best professional opportunities and prove myself in the international domain as a prominent team player. It will also bring in better remuneration packages in my professional streak, which would help me attain stability in my personal and family life. As I am currently working as a Secondary Science teacher, hence PGCE modified secondary teacher course will allow me to achieve excellence in my relevant area and enable me to deliver fineness to my students.

My love for mountains and adventurous sports depicts my trait of being a passionate and challenging person. This attribute is explicitly evident in my professional profile, which makes me a teacher who is more flexible in decision-making and dares to accept challenges to motivate my students and help them achieve personal and educational well-being.

I hope to make this blog very helpful for teachers who have problems engaging students within the classroom and using technology to improve learning and teaching.

  2. Dear Abdul Sami, just to clarify, what school do you work at the moment? Another question is, having been teaching for 11 years, have you ever thought of moving from younger audience to adult one?

    1. I believe you need at least a degree in PhD to teach in uni, and I am not qualified to teach to adults. Well, in years 11-13, kids are adults it's they need more attention and engagement. And as a teacher, I have learnt lots of new things teaching younger kids.
